Get To Know Us!

(Pictured: very misleading photo of us smiling and acting normal)

We, Ryan and Charity, are parents to four total children, who are the most precious things in our lives. We just want them to stop peppering us with questions for a single, HOT MINUTE!!!

“No, you can’t have a 3rd afternoon snack. Who do you think we are, the Rockefellers?”

We have two girls (the oldest), and two boys (the youngest). Yes, we’ve heard the Jim Gaffigan joke about having a 4th child. We live in Omaha, Nebraska, a top-rated city for raising kids in the US. It was also rated pretty high for most COVID-19 cases per capita during the pandemic, so it's kind of a wash.

Meet Ryan (the dad)

When Ryan is not taking care of kids he’s running his own video production company, Longitude Studios, and sister production company, 1928 CO. Be it through video, writing, or music he loves telling stories and jokes.

Meet Charity (the mom)

When Charity is not taking care of kids, she’s running the music at one of Lifegate Church’s campuses (campi?) in Papillion, Nebraska. She tells the musicians what to do and sends them to their rooms if they aren’t practiced enough (sometimes her mothering skills bleed into other areas).

We have parenting hacks.

Or was it, we are hacks at parenting?

We don’t remember which.

When we are taking care of kids, you can find us exercising our vast parenting knowledge we’ve gained over 12+ years. We enjoy hiding in a closet sharing a secret pint of ice cream we’ve hidden from the kids via a frozen vegetable bag buried in the back of the freezer.

Parenting Is Hard, But One Day We’ll Laugh About It

Losing Time

No time for yourself? No problem. There’s no such thing as free time anyway. Your “hobbies” are surprisingly similar to your kids’ extracurricular activities. You would definitely be spending your Saturday morning watching t-ball for 3 hours regardless of if your kids were on the team or not.

Losing Sleep

Until your kids are out of the house, just don’t plan on getting a solid 8 hours. It’s easier to cope if you set realistic expectations. You’re either waking up with your kids or lying awake worrying about them.

Losing Sanity

Nothing makes sense anymore. But did it ever? When you’re ready to lose your mind, just make sure to put it somewhere you’ll remember to find it later. Keep Calm and Watch YouTube.
